Razzmatazz Bistro and Pub

Razzmatazz Bistro and Pub is operated by Frieda Ngui and George W. Germann and was opened since February 2014.

It comprises of two section, a rustic looking bistro which provides a warm casual western dining place fitted with heavy Indonesian teak furniture which is a strictly non smoking area and adjacent a hot sassy mesmerized bar with big screen and smoking permitted.

Happy hour is from 4 pm to 9 pm, so the perfect place for a nice sundowner or a pre-dinner drink.

George originates from Switzerland

George originates from Switzerland, where he did all his training as pastry chef and chocolatier. He has travelled the world extensively working in top class hotels, luxury cruise liners and distinctive pastry shops. He has also competed in culinary competitions all around the world for many years and his collections of Gold Medals is the result of total dedication to his profession.

His passion for food was always a challenge for new ventures. He owed several coffee shops, a chocolate factory and restaurants, but always his emphasis was on quality and hygiene, which is again very much reflected and practiced in his bistro. He also published a cooking book.

He met Frieda while on his last job in Saudi Arabia as Executive Chef of Saudi Airlines Catering, where he managed a brigade of 300 chefs with a daily production of 80 000 meals.

After his retirement he moved to Kuching, but soon realized he was too young to retire. So the search went on for a new challenge and Razzmatazz is the result.

Just Simplicity and taste

Razzmatazz food is authentic western food, no fusion as too much fusion becomes confusion. Just simplicity and taste.

The menu is small but with the addition of daily special offers, it has a range of chicken, beef, pork, fish, lamb as well as soups, salads, pizzas and pastas, specially his homemade Gnocci, a potato dumpling Italian style. Other favorites are Chicken Cordon Bleu, Pork Schnitzel, Pork “Swiss Style”, Caesar Salad.

All the breads and desserts are made in house and our Chef’s Signature dessert is just the right thing to finish your meal.

We also cater for private parties and business functions but seating is limited to 30 people only in the bistro.
